The Nina storage bed combines the warmth of natural wood with a design made for everyday life. Its solid pine frame from the Landes region and French artisan craftsmanship give this storage bed an authentic character that fits easily into an inviting bedroom.
Left unfinished, without varnish or oil, the pine reveals its grain, variations in tone, and natural knots. Designed to support up to 250 kg excluding the mattress, Nina combines the strength of a solid wood frame with an inviting warmth that pairs with your favorite textiles and colors.
One of Nina’s key features is its storage space, with a stated capacity of approximately 700 liters for the 140 × 200 cm size and 820 liters for the 160 × 200 cm size. Comforters, pillows, linens, and seasonal clothing can all be stored beneath the bed without adding another piece of furniture to the room.
The engineered wood panel base rests directly on the floor and helps keep dust out. This gives you discreet storage space to free up your closets and keep your bedroom comfortable.
The included upholstered bed base combines a tubular metal frame with a wooden platform covered in breathable fabric with a honeycomb finish. Four vents further encourage airflow between the mattress and the storage compartment.
At the foot of the bed, a handle integrated into the platform lets you lift the bed base with the help of two gas struts. A metal bar holds the mattress in place as you open it, so you can access the storage space without removing your bedding.
The mattress is sold separately. You can choose our double Bamboo mattress or our Organic Cotton pocket-spring mattress in the size that fits the bed. Check the weight of your chosen version, too: the standard mechanism is designed for a mattress weighing 20 to 40 kg.
Nina is crafted from PEFC-certified solid pine sourced from responsibly managed French forests. From timber harvested in the Landes region to its transformation in a workshop in Charente-Maritime, this bed celebrates French materials and local craftsmanship.

The platform accommodates foam, latex, and pocket-spring mattresses. Check the exact weight of the version you choose: the standard mechanism (1500-newton gas struts) is designed for a mattress weighing 20 to 40 kg. Outside this range, contact our team when placing your order so we can arrange gas struts with a suitable force rating (1400 newtons).
The weight of the mattress helps balance the mechanism. A mattress that is too light can make closing the bed difficult; one that is too heavy can make lifting it harder. The recommended range of 20 to 40 kg applies to both bed sizes with the standard gas struts.
The bed opens from the foot using the handle built into the platform. Two gas struts help lift it, and a metal bar holds the mattress in place. The mechanism has no additional lock to secure it in the open position.
No clearance is needed at the head of the bed to open it. Just make sure you have room to stand at the foot of the bed to use the handle and access the storage compartment.
Yes, you can pair Nina with a freestanding headboard placed between the bed and the wall. The headboard is not included.
The bed base arrives assembled in one piece. Its box measures 208 × 147 × 8.5 cm for the 140 cm version and 208 × 167 × 8.5 cm for the 160 cm version. Before ordering, check that it will fit through entryways and can be maneuvered around corners.

You have 14 days to return your furniture in its original packaging. If you cancel after shipment, your refund will be issued less the cost of shipping in both directions. We calculate a fair, transparent, and ethical price for each return.
