Mattresses and bedding

How can you put together bedding suited to your nights?

The mattress determines much of how a bed feels, but it does not work alone. The bed base, pillow, comforter, and textiles also affect your comfort. When updating your bedding, start with what you really need: more room, a different feel, a lighter comforter, or softer-feeling linens.

Our selection includes foam mattresses, constructions combining latex and plant fibers, pocket spring mattresses, and organic cotton bedding. We also offer protectors and mattress toppers to complement your existing setup.

Start with the right mattress size

Measure the usable surface of your bed base before comparing our mattresses. The mattress dimensions should match those of the base. For one person, 80x200, 90x190, and 90x200 sizes suit different space requirements. For two, the available width matters as much as the length.

Think about moving around the bedroom and opening storage units. You should still be able to walk around a large bed and change its bedding easily. If you’re keeping your bed frame, its inside dimensions are the first thing to check, before considering the style or thickness of a new mattress.

What kind of sleep comfort are you looking for?

Initial comfort describes how a mattress feels when you first lie down; support describes how its structure holds your body. A soft initial feel can therefore be paired with firm support. Compare these two qualities separately, taking your usual sleeping position and preferences into account.

The mattress constructions in the collection offer several options. Foam, latex, and springs do not each provide just one feel: the full composition and comfort layers make the difference. Detailed product information helps you compare models without relying on their names alone.

Match your pillow and comforter to your habits

Choose your pillow based on how much space your head needs when you lie down. Its loft and how soft it feels matter as much as the material of its cover. A particularly lofty pillow will not necessarily suit every sleeping position.

Choose your comforter according to your bedroom temperature and how warm you tend to feel. Check its dimensions, too: it should cover you comfortably and drape as far as you want on each side of the bed. Comforter size is not the same as mattress size.

Protect your bed and choose your textiles

A mattress protector goes under the fitted sheet to make it easier to care for your bed. Its dimensions and pocket depth must fit the mattress. If you add a mattress topper, account for the total thickness the fitted sheet needs to cover.

Bed linens add texture and color. Solid cotton, striped percale, and washed cotton sateen let you put together an understated or more expressive bedding set. Match the pieces by their actual dimensions, then choose colors that suit your bedroom.

Bedding that’s easy to care for every day

Before making your final selection, check the care instructions for each item. A removable cover cannot always be washed in the same way as a sheet. Having a second bedding set makes regular changes easier and gives textiles time to dry completely.

We suggest building your bedding setup around a few well-matched choices: a properly sized bed, the support you want, and suitable accessories. The result is a comfortable setup that’s easy to maintain, night after night.
