Mattresses

Which mattress should you choose for your bedroom?

The right mattress starts with how you sleep. Do you like a soft surface when you first lie down, or a firmer feel? Do you sleep alone or with someone else? Does your bed require a particular mattress thickness? These questions help narrow your choices before you compare construction details.

We bring together different constructions to meet a range of needs: foam, pocket springs, combinations of latex and plant fibers, and foldable designs. For each type, read the composition and recommended uses carefully.

Foam, latex, or springs: understand the differences

Our foam mattresses have structures without metal springs, with varying densities and comfort layers. Check whether your chosen model contains memory foam: not all foam mattresses do.

Our latex mattresses include combinations with coconut fiber or hemp, as well as a construction combining latex and springs. Our pocket spring mattresses use individually wrapped springs. The materials above the springs play a significant role in how the mattress initially feels.

Distinguish firmness from the initial feel

A mattress can offer firm support underneath and a soft surface feel. To compare two models, read the support level alongside the description of the comfort layers. A manufacturer’s firmness ratings are useful points of reference within its range; they do not replace your personal preferences.

If you share a bed, consider differences in the comfort each of you wants. Some models let you choose a different firmness for each side. Confirm this option when configuring the product, along with the size you’re ordering.

Choose a size that fits your bed

Our single mattresses and double mattresses let you start your search by size. Measure the bed base and the inside of the frame, then check that the mattress fits without being compressed. A longer mattress may give you more room, provided the bed frame can accommodate it.

For a trundle bed, daybed, or bed with a mechanism, mattress height is essential. The right width alone does not guarantee that the furniture will close or that its mechanism will work.

Read the composition and origin details carefully

A name mentioning organic cotton or bamboo may describe the outer fabric rather than the entire mattress. Check the ticking, filling, and support core separately. That way, you’ll know which materials you’re choosing and where they’re used.

The collection includes products made in France and elsewhere in Europe, depending on the model. Check origin information and certifications for each product. Alongside the comfort you want, we recommend comparing these specific characteristics.

Prepare for setup and care

Check the condition and compatibility of your bed base before installing your new mattress. A damaged or unsuitable base can change how it feels. You’ll also need a fitted sheet with pockets deep enough to cover the full mattress thickness.

Protect the mattress, air out the bedding, and follow the rotation or flipping recommendations for your model. A one-sided mattress is not used in the same way as a flippable one. Compare product details, choose your size, and put together a bed that suits your habits.
