Twin Mattress
A twin mattress should give you enough room to sleep comfortably while fitting your bed’s dimensions. Explore foam, latex-containing, and pocket-spring constructions, as well as folding models, to find a sleeping solution suited to your space.
A twin mattress for an adult bedroom
Sleeping alone doesn’t mean giving up comfort choices. A twin mattress deserves the same careful consideration as a mattress for two: length, width, surface feel, and support should suit your habits. In a compact bedroom, it also leaves room to move around and use the other furniture.
Start with your bed base’s dimensions. If you’re also replacing the bed, take time to compare the sleeping surface with the frame’s overall dimensions.
80x200, 90x190, or 90x200?
The 80x200 mattress offers a narrower width while retaining a 200 cm length. The 90x190 mattress adds ten centimeters of width in a shorter size. The 90x200 mattress combines that width with a more generous length.
The choice depends on how much room you need to feel comfortable and how much space you have. Don’t shorten the mattress just to gain space around the bed: you still need a sleeping surface that lets you move freely.
Compare the available mattress types
The selection includes foam, latex combined with plant-based fibers, and pocket-spring construction. Availability depends on size, so not every mattress type is necessarily offered in every dimension.
When comparing mattresses, consider the surface feel and support separately. A soft outer layer does not tell you how firm the core is. Likewise, a mattress containing latex may combine several materials, whose proportions and arrangement determine the overall feel.
The right thickness for your bed frame
Mattress height affects how easy it is to get into bed and which fitted sheet you need. On a convertible bed, it may also determine whether the unit can close. Measure the available space before selecting a product option.
If the mattress needs to fit under a bed, explore our trundle bed mattresses and observe the drawer’s maximum mattress height. A product category can help your search, but you should always check compatibility with the specific bed you own.
Should you choose a folding model?
A folding mattress meets a need for conversion or storage. Unlike a standard mattress, it has sections designed to fold. Compare its unfolded sleeping surface, thickness, and folded size before deciding.
For a primary bed, check that the use described on the product page matches your needs. Ease of storage remains a practical advantage, but it does not replace choosing support suited to your nights.
Plan for easy-care bedding
Choose a mattress protector in the right size and a fitted sheet with pockets deep enough for the mattress. Air out the mattress and follow the manufacturer’s instructions on which sides can be slept on. A removable cover also needs care appropriate to its material.
We help you compare sizes and materials to choose a twin mattress that feels comfortable every day. First, identify the models compatible with your bed, then narrow your choice according to your comfort preferences.
