A textile designed for everyday life
In living spaces, a rug needs to be as practical as it is beautiful. This design by Lorena Canals meets that need with its washable cotton construction. Easy to care for, it stands up to everyday use while retaining its decorative appeal. Whether placed in a family living room, bedroom, or relaxation area, it brings comfort and softness underfoot. To ensure the longevity of our rugs and responsible production practices, we select workshops certified to three leading international ISO standards. These are more than labels: they are rigorous management systems audited every year.
ISO 9001: Assurance of a consistent finish
This standard requires rigorous checks at every stage of production, from sourcing the wool or cotton to the final weaving. In practical terms, this ensures your rug is free from structural defects and closely matches the stated dimensions and colors. It is the assurance of a reliable finished product designed to last without deteriorating prematurely.
ISO 14001: Production that respects resources
Making a rug, particularly washing its fibers, requires careful management of water and energy. ISO 14001 certification requires the workshop to actively reduce its environmental footprint through wastewater treatment, recycling material offcuts, and reducing CO2 emissions. For you, it offers the reassurance of a healthy home furnished with a product made in a way that protects the environment.
ISO 18001 / 45001: Certified ethical working practices
A beautiful rug should not come at the expense of the people who make it. This standard safeguards artisans’ working conditions, including health protection, workshop safety, and respect for human rights. Choosing a certified rug means supporting responsible craftsmanship that gives workers’ safety the same priority as product quality.
- Machine wash separately in a machine with a capacity of 8 kg or more, using a delicate cycle at 30 °C and no bleach.
- Use a mild detergent and do not use fabric softener.
- Select a low spin speed if the rug has braids, fringe, or tassels.
- Do not leave the damp rug in the machine, as the colors may run or stain.
- Tumble dry on low heat.
- Avoid drying in direct sunlight.
- Don’t worry if lint appears: these are residual fibers from cutting the cotton.
- For the first few days, we recommend brushing the rug with a stiff brush in the direction of the pile, then vacuuming it.
- We do not recommend using robot vacuums.
- If you find long or loose threads, trim them with scissors. Never pull a thread.
