Why does our set include two 90 × 200 cm sections?

Our double bed base consists of two 90 × 200 cm sections. This construction divides the set into two pieces you can move separately. It makes setting up a large bed easier, particularly when the route to the bedroom includes narrow doors or tight turns.

Each section rests on four legs. Two included Velcro strips, positioned at the head and foot, hold the sections together. Check the package dimensions before delivery, however: a two-part set still needs to fit through your access points.

Solid wood beneath the fabric covering

The frame and all 28 slats are made from PEFC-certified solid pine. The cylindrical legs are natural varnished beech. On top, a padded section and non-slip surface complete the base, supporting the mattress and helping keep it in place.

What mattress and finished bed height should you plan for?

Placed side by side, the two sections support a 180 × 200 cm mattress. Choose a mattress that matches this surface: a narrower one would leave part of the base visible. The range accommodates foam, latex and spring mattresses, provided you follow the instructions for your mattress.

Set up and care for your double bed base

Assembly involves screwing on the eight legs and fitting the two connectors according to the instructions. Once the sections are joined, you can add the mattress and dress the bed with your linens. This solid wood design is made in France and comes with a three-year warranty.

The upholstery has a stain-resistant treatment, but the cover is not removable. Spot-clean the surface with a soft cloth and avoid bleach. The neutral colors let you refresh the look with sheets and pillows without changing the bed base.
